Ace Sloop Model Kit

A good companion to the Lightning, as this model is at home on your mantle shelf as well as your favorite pond. You can free-sail, or, tie-off to your kite spool. It's not designed for remote control.

All parts are die-cut and includes mahogany, with birch mast, and cloth sails. All rigging and fittings are included.

Skill levels are:
1 = beginner
2 = intermediate
3 = advanced

You'll supply paint, and simple household tools:

Razor / X-acto knife, ruler, wood glue, super glue, Course, Medium, and Fine grit sandpaper, small paint brush, masking tape, 3/64, 1/6, 5/32" drill bit, needle, thread, pliers and cutting pliers, pins, clothespins for clamps, round file. Tip: include some styrofoam under the deck for flotation. If you use "peanuts" be sure they are not the corn-starch variety... as they will melt if wet.
