WP Stephens Canoes and Sailing Boats Poster

Over 100 years ago, designer/builder William Picard Stephens created this as a promotional piece. Discovered in his daugther's attic, it was still waiting to be mailed to a prospective client. This piece, thought a single sheet, effectively presented Stephens' services.

Included in this poster are profiles, lines, and arrangements of a small catboat, a canoe yawl, a double-paddle canoe, and five sailing canoes, including John MacGregor's ROB ROY. Accompanying these sketches are four different boat rigs: leg o' mutton, lateen, standing lug, and balanced lug.
